Preparation and Temperature Susceptibility Evaluation of Crumb Rubber Modified Asphalt Applied in Alpine Regions

In alpine regions, the durability of asphalt pavement is worse due to harsh climate. However, crumb rubber modified has potential improve pavement. Based on matrix asphalt, rubber, Trans-Polyoctenamer Rubber Reactive Modifier (TOR), and an orthogonal test, preparation scheme suitable for regions was obtained. The selected 30 mesh, content 24% quality asphalt. Shearing time 60 min, temperature 205 °C. rate 5000 r/min, optimum TOR set as 4.5% rubber. susceptibility (JZ), (AR), mixed with (TAR) investigated. high performance indexes, including phase angle, complex modulus index, rutting factor, low indexes creep stiffness modulus, ratio Burgers model parameters, dissipated energy ratio, derivative compliance were analyzed in depth multiple parameters. Meanwhile, mechanisms prepared AR TAR explored. results indicate that PG grading PG64-22 JZ, PG70-34 AR, PG82-28 TAR. deformation resistance at superior AR. addition not only improves susceptibility, but also enhances its viscoelasticity temperatures. After swell system, network structures are crosslinked physical chemical effects produced, such cracking repolymerization system. can further enhance swelling crosslinking rubber-asphalt. strongest weather resistance. study provides guidance be used regions.
